Last May 27th we were happy to organize the second LIGHTHOUSE SESSION – a talk on welcoming Ukrainian refugees in creative hubs and cultural structures.
At ECHN we invited creative professionals to share their experience in dealing with the migrant crisis – this motivated a great discussion and sharing of case studies, best practices and tools for effective support.
We had the insightful participation of Maria Calafatis (The Cube, Greece) and the inspirational Mimi Hapig (Habibi Works, Greece), both creative entrepreneurs who dealt with the middle eastern refugees crisis since 2015.
The Cube and its founders adjusted all their activities and focus to respond to the humanitarian situation and Habibi.Works came from Germany to Greece to open a maker space dedicated mainly to train asylum seekers and refugees, so that people could create their own solutions.
These sessions will be soon available online.
