Last month we gathered in Prato (Florence, Italy) with some of the leading projects in textile innovation in Europe to discuss the possibilities around a new working group within ECHN: The Future Textile Network, dedicated to envisioning and exploring new, more sustainable and circular ways to think, design and produce in the textile and fashion industries.
The host was Lottozero, and the program consisted of 5 full days of discussions, meetings with the local actors and visits to some of the stakeholders in Prato’s industry that are leading and paving the way to produce more sustainably, including a tour to the full cycle of wool’s recycling process.
Together with Lottozero, Fashion Green Hub, Le Textile Lab, the Textile Prototyping Lab and Alexandra from The Journey is Inwards we had the opportunity to share the common strengths and challenges, to exchange opportunities and explore the beginning of a new collaborative network that aims to gather all the leading actors across Europe in this sector.
The mobility program was supported by i-Portunus houses pilot scheme.
