Our monthly ECHN Online Family Brunch took place last Friday, November 7, and participants had the chance to meet each other and briefly introduce their hubs and current projects. This month’s meeting, despite happening online, felt really cozy and a mixture of old and new ECHN members, who form a great and diverse group of creatives. Thank you all for attending!
On the Hub Spotlight of November, we welcomed a face that is familiar to most, Esra, from Originn! In a very interactive, vlog-like presentation, Esra guided us through the beautiful industrial spaces of Originn.
Based in Izmir, this is a creative hub that provides workspaces to creative professionals, and also works with and for them on thematic community management and capacity building. Since its establishment, Originn has been a platform that offers collaboration models and methodologies around shared values with its local and international stakeholders.
Playing a unifying role for entrepreneurs and the creative industries, Originn combines a universal perspective with local values to develop and implement meaningful, sustainable, and impact-driven ideas focused on society, life, and innovation. Driven by the motivation to serve as an interface for a multidisciplinary culture of production, it continues to create environments where cross innovation, skill transfer (upskilling, reskilling) and lifelong learning take place. Originn aims for a co creation at the intersection of cultural and creative industries and impact ecosystem, a meaningful approach for innovation and development.
