Bombarda - Quarteirão Criativo is a distributed creative hub representing the creative district of Porto, Portugal.
The Miguel Bombarda Quarter has been, for over 25 years, an epicenter of business and creative people.
The concentration of contemporary art galleries in this area feeds what is an internationally recognized brand and Bombarda is a lively and diverse melting pot with more than 178 establishments, in the areas of commerce, media and leisure services, culture and entertainment.
Formed in 2022 by active members of the local community, Quarteirão Criativo – Local Development Association is a
association for the local development of the area known as Bombarda, or the Arts Quarter, in Porto. Our mission is coordinate local community actions and resource sharing to improve the living and working experience in this block.
For this, we assume Bombarda as a whole, greater than the sum of its Social, Cultural, Environmental, Urbanistic and Economic dimensions.
The Association wants to be an engine for the promotion of solidarity, cooperation and networking among traders, businessmen and residents of the Quarteirão, as well as for the animation and implementation of initiatives and local and regional development programs.
Documenting, valuing and disseminating the cultural and social capital and preserving the artistic and creative character of the quarter, enhancing the geographic area at a social, urban, environmental, cultural and touristic level, or the design, organization and promotion of local, regional and international events, are just some of the lines that guide the activities of Quarteirão Criativo.
