La Finestra (Italian word for window) is the smallest community hub you will ever visit! An outpost of art, culture, community, placemaking and innovation. The Hub is housed in an ancient tower of 65 sqm in the heart of Casertavecchia, the medieval village, UNESCO site of interest, located a few kilometers from Naples and Caserta, surrounded by the Tifatini hills. La Finestra is a public building, the “ex post office” of the town (“Ex-Ufficio delle Poste”), renovated and returned to the community to become a center of activities, services and socio-cultural initiatives for residents, travelers, artists, activists who want to share their passion for culture, the environment and social innovation. After more than 30 years of abandonment, in 2017-2018, thanks to the recovery and refunctionalization project by Itinerari Paralleli ETS., the building has a new life and has been returned to the community as an open and multifunctional place! The Hub now hosts a year long programme of cultural activities spread in the village, an info point for tourists, a small bookshop, space for local organization and a study room. Since 2024 the project also promotes a Festival, ChimeraFest for mixed arts and local culture.
