On the last Online Family Brunch we learned about circularity in Maker Spaces!

To kick off October, we had another session of our dear ‘Online Family Brunch’ – another round of our monthly event exclusive to ECHN members.

This is the opportunity to catch up, share and inspire and the moment to hear great stories: just like in good family meetings! Thank you again for all of you who are a part of this beautiful community and make these events so warm and inspiring.

We had the opportunity to talk about the upcoming programs and to line up the last details before the Conference in Porto!

In October’s Brunch, we welcomed Neda one of the two (twin!) sisters behind Transfolab BCN!

With a focus on upcycling and circular economy, this is a centre dedicated to the creative ecosystem in Barcelona (Spain) dedicated to design, innovation, production and experimentation with waste and environmental sustainability. Up to date they have offered space, tools, capacity building and support to 1000+ makers, designers, architects, artists, students, DIY hobbyists and creative enthusiasts looking for an environment to learn and develop/design their ideas or projects.

The space permanently welcomes 20-30 active members, and keeps that community engaged with the rest of the ecosystem through a program of courses and workshops: the TransfoAcademy, a program of residencies: the TransfoResidencies, and participation in local and international projects, events, meetings, and activities.
