During October's Brunch, besides the regular updates, we had the pleasure to host Marina and Jasmina for a proper storytelling of this (now) space in Croatia.
Located in the beautiful town of Split, Culture Hub Croatia is a non-profit organization active since 2017. Since then, they have a clear mission in an overtouristified area: to establish meaningful partnerships and collaborations at national and international levels, actively addressing local challenges and using arts and culture as their main tool.
After years of nomadism, in July 2021, Culture Hub Croatia finally opened a physical creative hub: PROSTOR. This space comprises a gallery, a coworking space, a workshop space, and studio for artists, as well as an integrated artist residency.
In May 2024, the space grew ‘out of borders’ and expanded to a small event space nearby, as an annex to PROSTOR that can host more activities and adapt to the project’s current needs.
During October’s Brunch, we heard in detail from Marina and Jasmina about the urban experiments that preceded the physical space and were used for community sensing and community building, as well as learn more about all that is going on at PROSTOR: its programs, the main topics of interest, and some useful engagement methods!
Make sure to check them out.
